Description
Appearance: Holly appears younger than she is. She has little sense of style appearing usually a mixture of slovenly to slightly suggestive, a hang over from her years on the street.
When she became Catwoman she donned Selina's costume, Skin tight black cat-suit, outfitted with a few pieces of Kevlar in prime protective spots, thigh high black boots with steel heels, a black utility belt, black gloves, a black mask goggles.
History: Fleeing an abusive home, Holly was on the streets before she was even into her teens, turning tricks and picking pockets. At the age of 13 she was rescued from an assault by a corrupt and abusive cop by the 17 year old Selina Kyle. It was the first time anyone had fought for her, the first time she realised it was possible to fight.
As she grew Selina cared for her, although she realised a better life for Holly might be found with her sister Maggie. The life did not suit Holly however and slowly drifted back to the streets, a world she had never entirely been able to leave behind.
After series of murders in the Gotham Red Light districts, alone and terrified, Holly returned to the apartment she had shared with Selina growing up, and serendipitously they were joyously reunited, Selina helping Holly find a new sense of purpose and self worth, by helping her watch and protect the East Side. Holly remained troubled however that she could not shake her tendency to view the world from the mindset of a junkie.
When Selina ran afoul of Black Mask during the War Games incident, he decided to ruin her life, two of his chosen targets were her sister Maggie, and Holly, who in order to save Selina from one of his lieutenants was forced to kill, an experience which left her traumatised. Holly fled, isolating herself and considering returning to substance abuse, when Selina found her and saved her again, sending her to Wildcat to train and regain her purpose.
When Selina vanished for a while Holly began wearing the Catwoman costume in order to intimidate the criminals of the East Side.
Personality: As a child Holly was insecure, frightened, whiny and brattish, desperately clawing for attention and affection, her early years with Selina however gave her some measure of peace and a more mature personality.
When she and Selina separated, this was lost and she returned to her insecure and demanding nature, getting herself into trouble and developing a nihilistic view of the world. A view which seems to pull back like dark clouds when she regains her purpose and self belief.
Holly remains insecure, sometimes exhibiting itself as pride as she does not like to be overshadowed even or perhaps most of all, by Selina. She is superstitious, but she has an optimism and a joy in the small beautiful things in life, that belie the memories of her troubled past. Holly is full of love for the people close to her and has a strong sense of justice, if not a belief in the law.

Holly struggled, trying to stand up, grabbed out of nowhere like that by some masked freak, that kind of thing p***d her off, the city was going to the dogs, if there was one thing she hated, it was being grabbed, grabbed and pulled somewhere shabby like this dump. From a school trip of all things. She struggled to her feet, her clothes were dirty, slightly torn, and somehow that seemed to be fitting for her. Her shoes were expensive, though the heels were too high, the clothes too were expensive and yet they looked cheap. Holly straightened her legs, hands still on the floor, her behind practically in the young man’s face. More masked freaks, kids this time, barely even her age. His female companion uttered an “Ohh”. Holly heard it, it was a sound she had heard many times. It didn’t mean anything, background noise to her life, she stood up, managing to look both younger and older than she was.
“This is what happens!. Go to school, Holly. Get an education Holly. You won’t make anything of yourself if you don’t…” she began to dust herself down. “Oh boy wait ‘til I tell Selina.. SEEE this is the kind of sh*t that happens when you make me go to school! G-D I need a smoke!” Her attention turned to the boy as he took her arm, and to the girl who seemed to fawn on him. They were watching her intently and, even behind the masks ‘why always with the masks?’ disapprovingly, more background noise. “What?!” Had they said they would call the Police? “Police?! F*** No” Holly began to struggle in the boy’s grasp, twisting and turning like a wild thing. “No pigs.” She was slight, but he was having difficulty holding her, as she began to bounce slightly in his grip trying to loosen it, jumping.
“There’s some reason” the girl was talking at her now. “Out of all the kids there… he kept you? No offense Holly, but you don’t seem like the prize catch here. There are kids with rich … RICH parents still up there... you don’t look like you’re in their class… what makes YOU worth his while? You can’t be worth much… so who do you matter to?”
Holly stopped struggling a moment, a sly smile creeping onto her face, “Wouldn’t you like to know... Miss Priss?” Her body relaxed in the boy’s grip. “I don’t need you.. so why don’t you two go back to…” She waved a hand dismissively “..necking… or whatever it is you have the nerve to do. I can look after myself.” Suddenly her body tensed again as she raised her arms and stamped as hard as she could with her heel on his foot. As she was released, she spun away in a clumsy and slightly unsteady pirouette, almost tumbling over she bent low, her fingers trailing and heels skipping the rubble strewn floor. When she regained her balance she stood up, cocking her hip to one side in an exaggerated manner. “I can look after myself… I’ll poke his eyes out or… stick...” she began looking around “...him…” she started to walk around “...with…” She stopped suddenly looking at the two masked teens before her. “Where’s my f***ing bag you two?” Her eyes narrowed. “You have it don’t you? You think there’s...” she stopped suddenly as if remembering something that shouldn’t be mentioned. “There’s nothing in it… anyway… just make up and … stuff… soooo…See ya.. wouldn’t want to be ya.” She knew the bag was gone, maybe it didn’t matter, she didn’t want to trace her steps back into the museum, all she knew was she wanted to be away from museums and school and dangerous places like that. She wanted to be home.
