History

At 8 years old, Bruce fell into a cavern while playing in the gardens of Wayne Manor where he stumbled upon a cave and fell into a frightening world of monsters locked and confined within the human mind. Viciously attacked by a horde of bats. Bruce grew a powerful fear of bats that would later cause him to question and hate himself for being such a coward and fearful boy.

Months later Bruce would go out with his mother and father to the theater "The Mask of Zorro" the night was enjoyable and pleasant until stage performers dropped down onto the stage dressed as furry mammals that had assaulted Bruce in the cavern he fell inside. Bruce began to experience heavy breathing, he began looking for an escape and instead turned to the man he admired and trusted the most. Asking his father if they could leave, his family slipped into an alley back of the theater to begin their walk home.

When a stranger approached and held the Wayne family at gun point, this moment in time worried Bruce, the realization of the moment didn't settle in him until the loud blast of the revolver struck his father in the stomach, followed by the screaming of his mother that would forever haunt his. He watched them lie upon the ground and his fathers last words "Don't be afraid..." Bruce was heart broken, scared, and more alone than you and I could ever imagine. Bruce's question would go unanswered for many years "Why? Why did he do it?" and more questions plagued him. "It's my fault, I was scared. I asked to leave. I wasn't strong enough." "I killed them both."


Bruce Wayne inherited his parent’s fortune upon their death by a psychopathic criminal. Their deaths had set forth a chain reaction and sparked a revolution that would change the fate and lives of everyone in the world. Bruce waited patiently for years for his parent’s murderer to be tried and put on death row. When the criminal was brought before judgment he was found guilty but, he wasn’t sentence to death like Bruce had hoped for. Bruce attempted to take the law into his own hands and was prepared to assassinate the killer when suddenly someone else amongst a crowd of media officials shot the criminal instead.

For a few more years Bruce would still carry the guilt that he caused his parents death. He traveled to China to get away from his life in Gotham where he learned to live the life of a criminal, as an attempt to understand the criminal mind. When he was arrested in China, for stealing; he was placed in prison where he had found a new means to satisfy his thirst for vengeance. He was approached by Henri Ducard who offered to give him a new identity and offer him everything he could ever want; vengeance to not just criminals, but also the architects who created them.

Batman Begins

"Foreign land with the plan and the knowledge within.
Pursuing to be a man that would need to begin: his quest to be best and defend the oppressed.
Packed in the projects like objects and pests. I'd have to return but for now I will train."


Accepting the offer, Bruce was trained by the League of Assassins and learned ninja combat styles. Bruce’s training challenged him mentally and physically. Sometime during his training he began to reconstruct his focus and purpose. Upon his graduation, he was required to execute a criminal of society. Bruce decline to do so because he thought the person deserved the right to a fair trial rather than execution by a soldier (himself.) Ducard explained that Bruce's choice has been made, that he cannot turn back now and he must execute this criminal. Bruce questioned the relevance of this to his training when Ducard explained that Bruce would be leading an army of Ninja's into Gotham to destroy its society so that it could be rebuilt. Bruce was horrified at the realization of what was expected of him, but Bruce was in the unique position of stopping Gotham's destruction from ever occurring.

Bruce Wayne cleverly thwarted the execution, destroyed the training facility and defeated the surrounding assassin members. Bruce returned to Gotham with the plans of liberating it of crime or at least giving the citizens of Gotham a stronger sense of control over their city. To do this Bruce would require creating an icon or symbol that would inspire people and give them hope.

He created the Batman as a means to do this. As time passed Batman grew the reputation as Gotham’s Dark Knight. He is known as a dark crusader who is unjustified in his actions taken against citizens, criminals, and the law enforcement of Gotham. In truth, Batman struggles between the line of good and evil as he portrays himself as a villain through destruction of his surroundings, however; his ending resolve usually is the decline of a criminal organizations or saving of lives.

Description

As Batman, he wears a black body suit with titanium plated pads on his shoulders, Torso (Chest, Back, and Stomach), Biceps, Forearms, gloves, crotch, thighs, knees, and shins / feet. His forearms reveal spiked guards that can fold into the forearm or be erect to block or parry incoming melee attacks. His helmet (or Cowl) is capable of turning as it too is made of a titanium plating capable of with standing a direct gunshot (conceivably from a Mini gun.) His cape is made of a light fabric that when an electric current runs through it, it takes shape to whatever position it is in at that point in time. His eyes are concealed by black eye liner make-up, as his mouth and chin are exposed. It should be noted that Batman has a built in facial mask capable of closing around his mouth and trigger an air filtering system meant to counter act Poison Ivy and Scarecrow. Around his waist is a yellow utility belt commonly associated with his character.

Bruce's Personality is one of duality. This version of Batman has two different minds (This is an important piece to the character.) Bruce Wayne is a man searching for a way to bring justice and inspiring good in Gotham City. Bruce is often found in conflict with the thoughts of Batman. Bruce finds himself struggling to find a peaceful reconciliation and ending to his tormented soul, part of him believes that Gotham is a city full of nothing but pain for him, while another part believes that happiness for Bruce Wayne is the only way he can reconcile and heal over the trauma of his parents death. To stifle the thoughts and concerns of Bruce Wayne's emotional statate of mind, Bruce burrows himself in work as a form of escapism making him one of the most proactive-reactive characters in DC comics. Formulating contingency plans and "What if" scenarios that are numbers in cryptic language only interpretable to Bruce, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and Barbara Gordon.

Batman's personality is a darker spirit motivated by Justice rather than Vengeance, using fear and brutality tactics as a deterrence to criminal activity as a preventive method. His method of inciting fear is often used not just against enemies but also allies as a way to practice and stay fit with his ability to perform. Underneath the Batman mask there is emotional anger that is unleashed during combat, channeling aggression as a queue for his muscles to pump adrenaline and prepare for combat. Batman maintains control over Bruce's mind and body dressed in his suit, rarely will Bruce Wayne's personality surface and display thoughts. An example to this Batman's break of persona, discovering he had a daughter from another universe shocked him. His heart opened up realizing that he emotionally hurt his daughter without even knowing. Beneath Batman's hard exterior is a heart that reaches out to try and help children and the "broken" who need to be helped. Batman has shown sympathy for Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Harvey Two-Face, Clayface, and predominantly known Catwoman.

Batman is a tough man to deal with directly as he speaks in an intimidating manner and often in condescension of others. He is capable of insulting and sharply pointing out the flaws of others to the point of making them cry, rage, or fearful. On the list of negative traits to Batman's personality, he often hides his emotional state regarding love and feelings finding that they often cloud his judgment, and often do whenever he does follow his emotional feelings. His dry sense of humor is often a point of criticism by his peers, however; Batman has shown extreme tolerance to those around him that attempt to poke fun at him. When Batman isn't occupied with creating contingency plans, he is sulking in misery and pain that he holds a strong sense of contempt for. This pain he uses to motivate and push him forward and only burned whenever someone attempts to get closer to him. His arrogance, over confidence, and unforgiving nature often are the vocal point of his conflict with others. Batman can be extremely arrogant, refusing details or evidence at times because he has "eliminated" those factors with sloppy research or emotionally compromising events. Batman's over confidence has caused Batman to clash against some of the most deadly villains in the DC universe to the point of battling to near death.

Driven by results, Batman's actions are always lead by the bottom line and the consequences of that result. His motive and foresight are often the reason Batman clashes with other heroes such as Superman or Wonder Woman. This drive is also reason for Batman not opposing to "dirty fighting" and manipulation. Batman will use, abuse, and sacrifice in order to achieve the end result no matter the cost to himself, and sometimes regardless of the cost to other heroes or villains.

Thomas Wayne left behind a large shadow that casts over Bruce, the amount of good and lives Thomas had saved in Gotham is often looming over Batman giving him something to strive to achieve, no matter how hard he tries he never feels it is ever to the magnitude of impact that he father has had.	Martha Wayne was a security blanket for Bruce, she was protective of him, while Thomas tried to treat Bruce like a gentleman, Martha was active in protecting him from anyone who would be a potential threat to Bruce. It was Martha Wayne's influence that Alfred Pennyworth was hired as the Wayne family butler because of his experience with Firearms and special forces training.	The brother Bruce never knew and was separated from at birth. For reasons unknown he was separated at birth from the entire family until many years later he is told the truth of his existence and later introduced to his brother Bruce.	The man who was the catalyst who launched Bruce's world into darkness by shooting a .38 caliber round into Thomas and Martha Wayne. From the moment of meeting Joe Chill, Bruce had wanted nothing but revenge for his parents until Joe Chill was actually assassinated, then Bruce realized that revenge wasn't enough and wouldn't sate his thirst. Joe Chill sparked Bruce's initial interest in Criminology and made him seek out the psychology of criminals in both an academic environment and a life-style that he experienced while traveling the world.

Dick Grayson was Bruce Wayne's first "Son" taken in under adoption at the age of 14. Bruce revealed his identity as Batman in order to help give the boy a chance of a brighter future. Both men have a different style, but ultimately they can read and communicate with each other on a level comparable to psychics.	Selina is Bruce Wayne's masquerading on and off girlfriend and mistress, often in the eye of the public as several different women while behind the scenes playing as an important part of assisting Batman on whatever case he is working.	Katherine Kane is an ally that Bruce sees as a potential candidate to pass his leadership onto. They see each other as equals with his strategy left taking charge. Their relationship is almost professional with a few off the record interactions when circumstances permit.	Barbara is a helpful partner to Katherine Kane, an admirer of Bruce Wayne and Batman, she has positioned herself as a valuable contact who watches over the Bat family and provides technological knowledge to those in need.

Tim Drake came to Batman's rescue and tried to help push Batman into the light again after the death of Jason Todd had turned him into a ball of depression. Tim eventually became Red Robin or the third Robin and was later accepted into the Wayne family as Bruce's third son.	Stephanie Brown came to be a Son's girlfriend in Bruce's eyes. She was klutzy and too carefree for Bruce to take her seriously, however; with Tim Drake's encouragement Batman gave Stephanie a fair shot to prove herself worth in the family. Her death would deeply trouble Batman and he would place the blame of the incident on himself, his last words to her was that she was a hero and would be remember as one.	Cassandra Cain became Bruce's second daughter after she left her Father's care and intended life for her as an assassin. Cassandra admires the cowl and symbol of Batman. Batman knows what she is capable of and often pushes her to almost impossible ends to challenge her. He trusts her prowess and has no problem sending her alone to deal with a situation that requires less detective work and more combat finesse. As his daughter, Bruce enjoys helping Cassandra with homework and teaching her new things, in this manner she reminds him of the time spent helping Dick Grayson with his schooling.	Jason was taken in by Batman as an unofficial son when Jason took to a mixed life of crime and moral obligations. Batman would try to care and foster Jason into becoming a better man. When Jason was killed by the Joker, Batman felt that this was his greatest failure by not being there when his partner needed him the most.
Helena Wayne	Terry McGinnis	Talia al Ghul	Damian Wayne
Helena Wayne resumed the identity of Helena Bertinelli after a Cosmic crisis that merged shifted her existence from Earth 2 into Earth 1. Bertinelli's relationship with Batman was always falling short of his expectations. He lost confidence in her when she tried justify murdering criminals for any crime. This relationship would cross over onto Helena Wayne until Batman discovered that Helena Wayne was a different person and a DNA sample proved her to be the biological daughter of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle. From here their relationship has been distant, but he keeps a close eye on her as though she were his legitimate daughter.	Terry McGinnis is from the future of Earth 2, when people were transferred over Terry McGinnis was pulled through time and was one of the random people given a new life and placement in Earth 1. Batman sees potential in the young man willing to take a beating while standing up for what he feels is right. Batman offers a prototype Batsuit with advanced technology far ahead of todays modern technology.	Talia al Ghul is an accomplished assassin and daughter of Ra's al Ghul. Though she does not share her Father's extreme point of view, she does share her father's interest in having Talia and Batman marry. Batman legitimately loves Talia despite being one of several women that he is in love with.	Damian Wayne is the biological son of Batman and later became the fifth Robin. He is the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul and genetically perfected to be physically fit for combat. He is a trained killer and has a very small moral compass and sense of discipline.

Alfred is Bruce's Second father, after the death of Thomas Wayne, Alfred stepped forward and took over as Bruce's parents and helped Bruce become a gentleman and scholar. When Bruce became Batman, Alfred was key in helping Bruce establish his career as Batman.	James Gordon was one of the few police detectives in Gotham that weren't corrupted by the mafia or crime organizations and because of this Batman chose him to assist in saving Gotham city, though both frequently come to clash against each other, they view each other as partners and equals.	The successor to the throne of Batman, Jean Paul would become Batman II after Bruce was critically wounded by Bane. Jean Paul and bruce share a common interest and goal in saving Gotham city and protecting good. Initially Bruce didn't trust Jean Paul as the man was a pure killing machine, Bruce allowed Jean Paul to go under the tutelage of Tim Drake in understanding the code of conduct within the Bat Family, which helped Jean Paul gain Bruce's trust.	The Joker is a consistent threat to Batman and has intimate knowledge of villain. Both having a diametrically opposing purpose and existence, their relationship is constantly one of testing Batman's stability and the test of order versus chaos, law versus anarchy. No one understands the Joker better than Batman, and along with Selina Kyle, Dick Grayson, and Superman, no one knows the Batman better than the Joker.

Rachel served as Bruce's sense of justice when his emotional back lashes proved to make him more immature and unstable. She often pushed Bruce through his issues and was very much an older sister until Bruce tried to engage a romantic relationship with her. Her death left him in a state of depression and made him more reclusive about relationships, Catwoman would later bring Bruce to light again and unknowingly helped cure him of his depression with the encouragement of Alfred.	Zatanna was a childhood friend who was a partner and teacher while Bruce was at the circus working for Giovanni Zatara. Bruce and Zatanna had a minor crush on each other, but nothing ever came from that childhood crush and they remained distant friends since they lost contact with each other.	Thomas Elliot was the closest thing Bruce had to a brother growing up, the two boys would play games together along with Rachel Dawn until his mother tightened the chain and forced Thomas to spend most of his days to be at home taking care of her. Thomas would later return into Bruce's future upon deducing that Bruce was Batman, Thomas dawned the alias "Hush" and tries to kill Batman and replace Bruce Wayne.	Superman is the closest thing Batman has to a brother. Both having shared many adventures together, Batman and Superman understand each other and though they know they are night and day in contrast to each other. They recognize they need the other to balance out their own flaws and despite coming to close conflict they always find a mutual compromise to work from.
Bane	Ra's al Ghul	Nyssa Raatko	Dinah "Laurel" Lance
Bane was the first criminal strategist to out maneuver and out strategize Batman's tactics for control over Gotham. Bane's success and intelligence eventually lead to Bane having the opportunity to snap Bruce Wayne's spine and leaving him for dead on the streets of Gotham.	Ra's al Ghul started Bruce on the journey to become Batman, training Bruce to become a deadly assassin, Ra's would plant the seed for Bruce to become something greater than a man. Inspiring Bruce to use his fear as a method of sharing his pain with his enemies.	Nyssa Raatko is the daughter of Ra's al Ghul and sister to Talia al Ghul, she takes custody of Damian Wayne while Talia flees from the League of Assassins. Nyssa claims Damian as her own child until it is later proven that Damian isn't the son of Nyssa rather the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia. Nyssa also shares her Father's desire of Batman being a viable spouse to Nyssa so that they may rule the world together.	Black Canary is an on and off romantic interest and partner to Batman. The couple don't see eye to eye but, neither question where the other's heart is nor where their agenda's lie. They respect each other to the point that Batman has Black canary as a contingency back up in the event Batman were to die.

Romantic Interests

Summary: Batman has had multiple love interests throughout his life, many women he has dated, however; contrary to popular belief Bruce does not engage in sex with most of his love interests. This version of Bruce Wayne uses his vast financial support to mask his vigilantism including purchasing women; Call girls, party girls, sports models, and actresses to date him for a night. Depending on the woman he *may* ask them to come back to his place where he frequently drugs them to fall asleep. From here they wake up in his bed believing they had a wild night with Bruce, while in reality, Bruce slipped away to his watchful duty of protecting Gotham citizens as Batman.

Talia Al Ghul - A loving personality with a philanthropic idealism that drives her to try and save humanity from its path of liberalism and self-destruction. Her ideals parallel with Batman on many levels and due to her status as a League of Assassin's member, she can't run from her Father's will forever. Unknown to Talia, She had strong influence in making Batman realize the dangerous path of becoming a killer and what it does to the mortal soul. Batman is fully capable of marrying Talia, if she were willing to sacrifice her Father's mission in pursuit of living their own lives together. This Batman's first love was Talia, having met her while training with the League of Assassins. Their relationship is a consistent battle of Talia forcing Batman to realize his emotions and trust himself, she is one of a very few people who see Batman's greater purpose in the world, and possibly the universe as well. The risk Batman and Talia weigh on their relationship is the cost of each others lives, as both are a hazard to one another. Their intimate connection places them in jeopardy as they become fearful of death and losing each other forever. Batman and Talia have an intimate word shared between them when only referencing each other: "Beloved." Talia is the mother of their son, Damian Wayne who later became Robin V. Selina Kyle - A very relate-able personality to Batman, Selina portrays a cold exterior as a defense much like the Dark Knight, but when forced into a position Selina's emotional outburst often loses all rationale, which is complimentary to Batman's status of logic and reason when forced to an emotional outburst. Though Selina portrays a dark and cold exterior as a defense, her seductive and flirtatious approach disarms most and on occasion even Batman. Underneath Catwoman's surface is a woman with empathy for innocence such as Children and women, and ever so often she will include Law Enforcement. Batman has said on numerous accounts that he knows Catwoman better than anyone else, this made her the best choice for International missions and even suicide tasks like fighting Superman, Catwoman would take a direct and suicidal plunge only if Batman was with her. Dinah "Laurel" Lance - Batman's relationship picks up a pace with Dinah "Laurel" Lance (Black Canary.) After taking down a criminal organization running a dog fighting ring, defeating hired help of Deadshot and Killer Croc, Batman and Black Canary closed the case file and retreated to Wayne Penthouse for the remainder of the night, never to speak of the passion and lust they shared that night. Batman has set up protocols that in the event he is unreachable, all Batfamily members are to report to Black Canary for leadership. Although both characters don't always see eye-to-eye, they have both earned each others respect through bloodshed. Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley) - Batman and Bruce Wayne hold a fatal attraction for Poison Ivy due to her meta-human capabilities of seducing most men; Batman and Bruce Wayne were no exceptions upon first encountering the deadly rose. Extraordinarily Batman was capable of resisting Poison Ivy’s influence long enough to realize there was something inducing his feelings for Poison Ivy and was capable of creating an antidote that render him immune, as the years continued she created more poisons but, Batman always seemed to be ahead of her. His ability to use shear willpower to overcome her ‘spells’ has given Ivy the illusion of Batman being a suitable mate and while Batman and Bruce Wayne do hold Poison Ivy in their heart, logic and reason guard them from making a fatal mistake. Diana Prince - While working together Batman and Wonder Woman have formed a mutual respect for each others capabilities and strengths. He sees that she is not just a pretty face and superpowers, rather that she is guided by honor and truth. She sees that although he has no superpowers and a brutal in techniques, he is willing to face the same threats she and Superman face with equal fearlessness and self-sacrifice to save the lives of others. She seems capable of reading his intent and feelings at times when he chooses not to speak. To him, she is terrifyingly inspirational and more than capable of transforming The Dark Knight into The White Knight. Ms. Egyptian - While at his Birthday party, The Egyptian caught Bruce's eye and prompted him to investigate what the mysterious woman's reason for attending. He discovered indirectly what her profession was and determined she wasn't just a pretty face, rather a professional government assassin, who was off duty and looking to enjoy her vacation before leaving town. To insure she didn't kill anyone, he isolated himself with her for the entire night where they shared a lengthy intelligent conversation that eventually turned into foreplay. She would later team up with Batman to uncover a mysterious bomber in Gotham. She has not discovered Bruce Wayne's secret identity. Alfred is the only person Bruce has spoken to about her.
