Description
Appearance:
Before becoming the jester known as 'Harley Quinn', Harleen usually wore her work uniform; a long white coat, plain pants, round-lensed glasses over her blue eyes and had her golden hair neatly tied up in a professional bun. Nowadays, out of uniform she tends to wear the attire of a bubbly young girl. Her hair is almost always pulled into two high pigtails, as she skips around in summer clothing. Examples of clothing being: shorts, skirts, short sleeves, etc.
The traditional outfit for Harley Quinn to wear is her trademark court jester suit. Covered from head to toe in a two-toned red and black checkered pattern, she wears clown-like cuffs, collar, hat, and of course, a clown-white painted face under her black mask and lipstick. Sometimes though, Harley will modify her look just a tiny bit, whether her jester horns are longer, the pattern switches sides, or she just wants to wear normal clothes with her jester hood. Her changes in appearance often come into effect when she goes undercover; often to fool an enemy, become part of the Joker's plans, gather information, and many other instances.
Personality:
Harley is a bit of a special case. Though a very intelligent individual, she tends to act childish and silly; sometimes to the point where folks wonder if it was another joke, or if it's just the way she is. Before beating on good guys, or even bad guys, Harley will pull out whatever wise-crack or hidden gag she can, because it's not a win for her if there isn't a punchline - at least, that's what the Joker would tell her. Of course, her humour rarely rubs off on her enemies. Because of this, she's often regarded as annoying, idiotic, and down-right nuts. These opinions among others deep down get to Harley, as she's fairly easily led and will even have to convince herself not to be doubtful or believe what she's told. Due to her own self awareness, she tends to make excuses as to why something likely to be true, is just a lie out to get her and hurt her - or other means. Harley Quinn can be depicted as a fun-loving but easily manipulated individual, who hasn't quite found her own purpose or reason as to why she does what she does.

Nicholas Quinzel - Father
Growing up in a poor house with a lazy brother who ignores her most the time, Harley has had a complicated relationship with her family; particularly her father. Harleen and her dad haven't had the best relationship, but also not the worst. Nick Quinzel has had a large impact on the way that Harley has ran her life, him being a con-artist who's been jailed several times, and her not understanding why. Trying to put aside his bad behaviour, she'd talk to him as a normal father, not long before even she had been conned for her money by him. Harley took it upon herself to become a psychiatrist in order to try and understand her father's reasoning, but hadn't truly came to grips with it until she later admitted to understanding more of his choices after leading a high-flying criminal life of her own.
The Joker - Partner / Boyfriend
Poison Ivy - Best Friend
When Harley met Ivy, they didn't exactly hit it off to a great start. Though they had a shaky introduction, the two soon became close with one another and often hit the town as a villainous duo. Poison Ivy became like a sister to Harley; letting her stay overnight when things were rough, constantly pepping her up and giving advice, all the way down to risking her life to keep Harley alive. Naturally, Ivy doesn't approve of Quinn's unhealthy obsession with The Joker, and has tried to split them up before in an attempt to finally see her best friend happy for real this time.
The Batman - Nemesis
The Bat, the one who truly stood between Harley and her Puddin', in her eyes. Every genius plan and joke, always foiled by one man in a bat suit. Harley Quinn and the Joker will often have run-ins with the masked menace, leaving the clowns obsessed with trying to put him down in whatever way possible, even if it's just for a chance to get the last laugh. But the way that her partner sees this man is a little different, it's sometimes as if the Joker wants his plans to be foiled, and wants the Bat to continue to come after him as if it's part of some game.
Catwoman - Close friend
Gotham's best cat burglar, easily one of Harley's go-to people to break into stores with. Harley looks up to Catwoman in a way, knowing that she's good at what she does and won't let anything stand in the way of what she wants. Despite the woman often being untrustworthy and crafty, on the occasion she'll join up with Harley and Poison Ivy, working as their own team. The one thing about Catwoman that Harley never understood, was her relationship with the Batman. But, she knows there isn't really anything to say about that, considering her own psychopathic boyfriend.

" ♪ Oh, La dee da~ ♪" The Harlequin lightly hummed to herself, laying stomach down and legs up in a playful cycle of her feet. "♪ I'm wishing, for the one I love~ ♪" Her tongue stuck out from her black lips in deep concentration, as the blue in her eyes reflected back the scene of her painting onto a large white banner. In bright purple and green letters, the banner read 'Happy Birthday Puddin'!' with several hearts and joker cards plastered around it. "Finished!" She chirped, bouncing up to her feet and holding the completed sign straight out in front of her, some of the wet paint dripping down onto the wooden floor. For a second, she pouted. "Hmm.. Is it too much?" Harley wondered, before shaking her head and returning to an excitable smile. "Nah, of course it ain't! It's perfect!" The happy clown grinned wildly, as she stood in a room that was fully decorated with little trinkets, posters, presents and was totally not a broken into barn on someone else's property. "Oh, Mistah J. This'll be the best ol' birthday you've ever had. I'll make sure of it!"
After hanging the newly decorated banner, she thought the venue to be complete. But wait, there was one last thing. Snap! Harley clicked her fingers. "Oh! I almost forgot! The main attraction, the big surprise!" Hastily, the girl cartwheeled and skipped into a storage room, before returning with a wrapped up box so big that it could almost reach the barn's ceiling and had to sit on a set of wheels to even budge from its spot. She huffed and puffed, her face squished up into the shape of a pumpkin, and the soles of her shoes rubbed against the ground as she pushed the box into its place. "Gosh! I knew I should've gotten the over-sized wheels!" In exhaustion, her body slid down the side of the box and plonked itself onto the floor boards. Any time now, any time now her green-haired love will burst through those doors and jump with joy at the sight of what his very own partner in crime has done for him.
"... Huh? What.. What time is it?" Her blurred vision looked around the darkened room, unable to see a thing. It took a moment, before realising where she was; immediately jumping to her feet and grabbing onto the horns of her jester hood. "Yikes! I fell asleep!? I couldn't have! Where's that dang light switch!?" Stumbling around in the darkness, she finally found the big round button, and slammed it with her fist. As the lights flickered on, the hope in her eyes wavered at the sight of the destroyed room. "What happened?.." It was then, that she saw the gaping hole in the giant box, and felt a throbbing bump on the back of her head. "It was.. It was The Bat! How did--!?" In a fit of rage and confusion, Harley lunged towards the giant present, but couldn't see inside the hole on the top. It was almost an instinct, to grab her over-sized mallet that sat against the wall, and to slam it as hard as she could against the box, making an opening of her own before inspecting it. "He.. He really escaped!" The mess of opened locks and torn up ribbons on the insides mocked her, as if to say that she can't really capture the Batman on her own, what is she, crazy? But that was it, another surprise birthday celebration ruined. Now it was only a matter of time before.. 'HAHA!' ... "P.. Puddin'?"

Joker and Harley go way back, all the way to before the beginning of Harley's career as Gotham City's number #1 villain's partner in crime. Of course, she doesn't see him as a menace, a joke, a green and purple stain that just won't come out of the carpet. To Harley, Joker is an idol, a man who just wants to make the world laugh with him.
She joined him out of belief that she could protect him, and that they would grow together in an eternal love. Sometimes, it's true. Other times, their relationship isn't all sunshine and laughing gas. She tries her best to make him happy, but it isn't always enough.
