{Okay, so...I've applied as April to either this page or the JLU page before...but it was so long ago. I ended up never getting back to the requested changes to my character sheet due to RL issues...but, those are gone so here I am applying once more! I just figured I should note that. Also...I didn't see a separate application for original characters...so I hope this one is okay. }

Model / Actor's name: "Dakota Fanning"

Birthday: 8/1/1999
Alignment: Chaotic neutral
Height: 5'3"

Physique: Lithe frame, build of an underfed toddler, small breasts, small hips.

Description
Appearance: She's normally dressed in whatever she can find at handouts, over sized hoodies and baggy jeans are her favorite. She's got enough scars to cover two people, and her face is the only thing that isn't covered in some kind of mark. She wears the same pair of boots to everything.
Personality: April comes off as shy, but in reality she is very...mouthy. She's not scared to state her opinion if she needs to. She, however, is all talk. She'll aim empty threats and then run like hell when someone tries to enforce them. Jess, is the one who normally gets them into fights. She's mouthy, like April, but more of a risk taker. Jess likes to force her opinions on other people and normally the two fight for control of the body in these situations.
Significant relationships
(Husband, Wife, Girlfriend, Boyfriend, Father, Mother, Nemesis, Mentor, Partner, etc)
Jenny 'momma' Marse - You'll never hear April say her real name, she'll normally refer to her as 'momma' or, 'that bitch', she's the only living member of the Marse family besides April, and she wants NOTHING to do with her daughter. She sat by and watched the damage done to her daughter, so April regards her as less than an insect, and wishes she were dead as well.
Derrin 'Poppa' Marse - April never talks about her father, unless it's some sort of sour way. She despised him, and is honestly glad he's dead. She hopes that he burns in the deepest, darkest corner of hell. When doctors tried to bring him up, April always got violent. He sexually and physically abused April and her mother for most of April's childhood. He was killed in a fire (set by Jess) that consumed the Marse Family home, April and her mother were the only survivors.
Jessica 'Jess' Marse - April's other personality, an alter that formed as a result of the abuse by her father.
Vehicles
Vehicle Name: Rust'o'tron 5,000 AKA Franken Scooter.
Type: Scooter, literally a rusty scooter pulled from a junk yard by a friend April met on the streets, it barely runs but it gets her around.
Armaments: Does a sign saying 'please don't break me' count?
Armor type: Light. One kick could put a hole in the side of this thing.
Abilities: The amazing ability to get April back and fourth from drug runs half alive.
History
Born after a simple one night stand,April Marse was not a welcomed baby. Her parent’s despised the pregnancy, and the child that came from it even more. She was raised in ignorance, and barely even made it through childhood. She spent most of her time on the streets, and the rest of the time being beaten by her father. Her father had an unhealthy obsession with April as well, he could go from calling her a 'little fucking bitch' and complaining that she 'was good for nothing' to cooing in her ear and pulling her into his lap, calling her 'sugar pop' and 'poppas baby girl' . He had a habit of sneaking into her bedroom at night, pulling her to him...and having his way with her. April was small, she'd always been small, so fighting back only ended up with more bruises and sometimes even a broken rib or two.
Of course, he avoided the face, wrists, and legs...April did attend school after all. In fact, to everyone else...the Marses seemed happy. Her mother took her to school functions, packed her lunch, and seemed normal. But in reality, her mother ignored everything April's father was doing to her, she constantly told April that her father was just 'having a bad day' and that he'd 'be better soon', and that she should 'just do what he says'. Even when her father took fists to her mother..her opinion didn't change.
April...was lonely. She grew up with very few friends, and so a voice formed in her head, splitting her in two. Her name was Jess, and she became the dominant force in April's life. Around her tenth birthday, something in her snaps, and it triggers a hallucinogenic episode. It leaves her mad, and it comes and goes in intensity due to stress and life goings on. Some days, it's almost gone, and others it is incredibly bad, to the point where she loses contact with reality. She has an obsession with hiding things, which grows so strong that she develops Pica, an eating disorder which causes her to crave and eat strange things. Including paper, dirt, and metal.
Close to her tenth birthday, Jess kills the family dog via smacking it with a rock in the general area of it's head until it stopped moving.
She convinces her parents to let her bury the animal with a 'memory box', which in reality carried the tools to her fathers demise in it. Inside was a bottle of cheap vodka she'd taken from his liquor shelf, a few empty glass soda bottles, some rags, and a lighter.
The night of her thirteenth birthday, she sneaks her way out of the house and gathers her supplies. After filling the bottles with vodka and soaking the rags in them, she proceeds to toss a few through the windows of her house after lighting them.
Most of the house became ablaze, and her father unfortunately...had been too drunk to make it out of the house. Her mother made it out, and found April hiding in a nearby field. April claimed that she'd ran from the house when her room burst into flames and fortunately...the cops believed her. Blaming the fire on an spilled bottle of whiskey and a burning cigarette her father had dropped.
Soon after that, April finally makes her escape from her mother. She manages to hide out on a cargo train car until she reaches Gotham. It was only a few towns away from her mother, but it was far enough. She's been living on the streets of the city ever since, stealing what she needs to survive. She even manages to move into an abandoned warehouse, after she makes a few friends on the streets closer to her sixteenth birthday. She works under the table at a very, very, small cafe in the rough part of town. Luckily the owner took pity on her.
She's devolved a heroin addiction, and most of her small paycheck goes to that.
Jess has been known to dabble in prostitution and 'odd' gooness-for-hire work, which mostly ends up in her playing distraction for small time robbery jobs.
Audition Post
Breathe. In...one, two, three...out...one,two,three...
In through your nose, out through your mouth. Breathe.
April's eyes snapped open and she rolled in the stack of sleeping bags that was her bed. Another nightmare. She could still feel the heat on her skin. She sat up and pulled the ragged blanket that she normally cuddled with to her chest. What time was it?
She glanced at her watch.
Oh. Shit.
Shit, shit, shit, shit...she was late. She was very fucking late. She nearly flung herself from her bed as she moved to grab the cleanest pair of pants she could find, and her work shirt. Okay, okay, time to think of an excuse. She'd tell them that one of her dogs had gotten sick, yeah...that's what had happened. She pulled on the pants and grabbed her backpack before moving to the door.
"Munches, Chomper, Nibbles...c'mere." She always had time for her babies, always. The small 'pack' approached her. She greeted them each with a head pat. "Alright boys, I'm going to work. You all know the drill, Munches...stay, Chomper, back, Nibbles, Side." Munches, a very large, but equally skinny Shepard sat down by the front door, Chomper, a medium sized mutt moved to trot to the back of the warehouse. Nibbles, a very small and at one time longer haired mutt moved to the side of the warehouse by her 'bed'. She Made a clicking noise with her tongue and roof of her mouth before she darted out the door.
Ah, the Franken Scooter. April grabbed her helmet and hopped onto the rusted thing before she started it and zoomed off into the distance.
"April! Where the hell have you been? Girl, I should fire you..." Her boss greeted her with those choice words as he watched her climb off of the scooter in the back parking lot of the cafe she worked at.
"Can it, fatass...ain't like no one ever comes here anyway..."
Her voice was muffled, so muffled that she knew he couldn't hear her.
"What? Stop mumbling, you know I hate that shit."
April eyed him with a smile. "Oh, nothing sir, I'm sorry I'm late...Munches got sick. Doggy puke everywhere, rough time." She watched him sigh.
"Alright, just...get in here. I need you to mop the kitchen then the bathrooms, I also need you to scrub down the booths later tonight."
She smiled despite her growing annoyance with him, she didn't get paid enough for half of the shit she did there. But she swallowed her pride and stepped into the building. God, it was always so hot in there. April was thankful for short sleeves. She always wore leather gloves though, she had a thing about being touched and April prayed every day for a fight not to breakout between her and her boss because of the 'uniform violation'. She calmly explained that either she wore the gloves, or he risk her puking everywhere if she happened to brush against someone elses skin. Needless to say, she got her way.
April's small hands wrapped around the handle of the mob bucket and lifted it along with the mop before she carried it into the kitchen and filled it with bleach and water. 'You're going to be stuck doing this forever, April'. Jess hissed in her mind. "Shut up, I'm working." She mumbled to herself as she carried the bucket and mop into the bathroom. She began to clean up the frankly disgusting floor as she tried to distract herself.
What if she was stuck here forever? What if...she never went anywhere? What if Jess was right...
No, no. That was bullshit.
April blinked a bit as she held the mop in one hand and stared at the wall. What was that? She dropped the mop and balanced herself on the toilet to get a better view.
A hole?
What..? There were never any holes here. She scraped at it with her nail and the hole began to open to her surprise? This couldn't be real. Yet, she continued to scrape at it. She blinked again and stumbled back off of the toilet and onto the floor. The hole was gone, but the room was now rapidly changing colors, and pulsating. She was so dizzy...oh god, now was not the time for an episode.
She grabbed at the wall and attempted to stand, but that failed and April ended up toppling over onto the ground.
'"Fuck!"
Okay, okay...okay. She curled herself into a ball and tried to breathe.
In, one, two, three....out, one, two, three...in...out, in....
The colors began to fade to minimum and April brought herself to her feet.
"Apple, Angel, Arrow....April, April.." She repeated her name, and for the moment focused on grounding herself.
Eventually, she was able to grab her mop and get back to work just in time for her boss to knock on the door. "You okay in there kid?" April exhaled slowly. "Yep, just tripped." She heard him walk away.
Thank god.
